Auggie & Me by Raquel J. Palacio

What the Publisher says about the book: Wonder tells the story of Auggie Pullman: an ordinary boy with an extraordinary face, whose first year at school changed the lives and the perspectives of everyone around him. Auggie & Me is a new side to the Wonder story: three new chapters from three different characters – bully Julian, oldest friend Christopher and classmate Charlotte – giving an insight into how Auggie has touched their own lives.

What I Thought: This book is life changing just like Wonder!

I liked ‘Shingaling’ the best because it had some of the funniest diagrams but The Julian Chapter isn’t bad either. It is one of the best books that I have read in a while (and I read A-LOT) because it just has changed my point if view of the every day kid with differences. I used to be sort of a Julian about them as I was sort of afraid of them (although, not the ‘you’re uglier than Darth Sidious’ and post-it-noting it in your locker part). After reading this, I knew that they were just normal like you or me. The two words to summarise this book are Bullying and Friendship.

Looking forward to the movie for Wonder coming out next year!

  1. I read it before and this was a great blog . My favorite was when Jake was telling me his part in the story.
